San Diego Padres
Assistant Strength Coach Spring Training 2005. During Spring Training 2005
in Peoria Arizona Mac lead conditioning drills, team warm-ups, and on-field stretches for the Major League Ball Club. His other responsibilities included:
- Nutrition and supplement consultation
- Technique demonstration and education for weight lifting technique
- Conditioning-drill development and in-season planning
Padres Minor Leagues 2005 season
Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coach 2005. During the 2005
baseball season Mac was the strength coach for future San Diego Padres players. During this time he traveled with the team organizing road and home workouts, implemented the Padres strength program, and lead team warm-ups. His other responsibilities included:
- Weekly reports of player progress
- Educating players
- Managing player workouts and conditioning requirements
San Diego State University 2001-2003
Gratuate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach Mac served as an
Graduate Assistant under Director of Strength & Contitioning David Ohton. Mac enjoyed learning the skills and fortitude it takes to be a Division I Strength Coach. While there, Mac helped coach 12 different Division I men's and women's scholarship teams, doing everything from teaching olympic style lifting to leading on-field conditioning drills. His other responsibilities included:
- Program Design
- Leading team workouts
- Maintaining athletic facilities

- Bachelor of Science - Kinesiology - 2001 San Diego State University
Professional Certifications
- Post Rehab Conditioning Specialist (PRCS) - Certified in 2007 through the American Academy of Health, Fitness and Rehab Professionals (AAHFRP). This certification has been a huge benefit to understanding the needs and creating perfect programs for my de-conditioned and post rehab clients.
- Certified Strength & Condtitioning Specialist (CSCS) - Certified in 2002 through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). The NSCA is considered the best and most difficult exercise certification in the industry to achieve. The CSCS is required by all Division I University Strength & Conditioning Coaches.
